Camilla Luddington plays Claudette, whose sister Claudine served as Sookie’s fairy godmother before she was attacked and drained by an amnesic Eric Northman.
Fairies play a major part in season 5 of True Blood this year and Camilla’s excited for people to see the re-vamped version of the fairies.
Camilla can reveal that Claudette works closely with Sookie and Jason, and says the audience will “learn more about what it means to be a fairy” in season five, so anything’s possible!

Camilla Luddington has landed a recurring role on the upcoming Season 5 True Blood, which will have a special focus on fairies. Camilla will play Claudette, one of Claude’s many sisters, who gives Sookie insight into what it means to be a faerie.

Season 5 will introduce fresh meat and showcase some familiar faces. “There will be a very significant, strong, mysterious woman at the center of one of our main stories next year,” says co-executive producer Raelle Tucker. “That will be a very familiar and compelling character. It may be someone you’ve heard of before.” We will also once again visit the fairy world touched upon at the beginning of season 4. Says Tucker, “Season 5 will explore more fairies, new fairies, fairies in a way you haven’t really seen fairies. We will all, as well as Sookie, come to understand fairies more than in previous seasons.”
The identity of the wolf seen growling at Sam in the final moments will be revealed — and, according to Tucker, is “someone you have never met before.” Tucker, who wrote the season finale, won’t confirm, though, if said werewolf is Alcide’s father, Jackson, who is featured in book 5 of Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse novels.
Former Fellowship of the Sun leader — and now vampire — Steve Newlin. Teases Tucker, “I will say that Steve’s reason for returning to Jason is not at all what you expect.”
mmm I still don’t think Newlin is a vampire.. I think it’s just for halloween….just saying…

Question: How did you get involved with the show?
CHRIS BAUER: I had a cup a coffee with Alan Ball, which I so enjoyed. It was an hour and a half of a really great conversation. We talked about theater and writing and, for a few minutes, we talked about his script and critics. I thought, “This guy is so real,” which I always respond to because I like to see myself that way. In my experience, it tends to be a real reflection of someone’s intelligence, confidence and sensitivity when they can just be real. I felt very comfortable with him, and the actor in me always wants to link himself to a leader who’s inspired. At the end of that cup of coffee, he said he’d love for me to do the show and I told him that I would love to do it.
Question: Do you think Andy will ever have any better luck with the ladies, or are you glad you don’t have to worry about doing the nude scenes that so many of your castmates have to do?

Hot ‘n Dirty | For all you shower-scene fiends out yonder, brace yourselves for this tidbit from Ball: “There will be a moment in the show where Sookie and Eric are together in the shower. But it may not exactly be what happens in the books — it may be weirder and dirtier.”

Double Trouble | When asked when and how Sookie’s powers might change now that her fairy godmother has been killed, Ball hinted, “I will say that if you follow the books, you know that faeries are born in litters — and they’re identical.

I want to know about the fairies on TrueBlood! — Aleah
NATALIE: Here’s one thing you can be sure of: Fairies can’t be turned into vampires. (Vampires just think their blood is mighty tasty and helpful for sun-bathing.) But executive producer Alan Ball reveals something else that fairies can do: “They can abduct humans and take them somewhere else that is not here,” he says. “Just like aliens.”
I know I’m way late on this but I was away for a few days and getting caught up…and I hadn’t seen it…..sooo cool-beans

wouldn’t mind seeing these guys in golden body paint….minus the robes : )
Krisena: True Blood? I miss that show so much!
Someone’s taking a trip to fairyland! Insiders tell us the show is now shooting scenes in a stage decorated with twinkle lights and greenery that’s being populated with beautiful men and women in gold body paint and robes. We’re wondering if the fairy folk get as orgy-tastic as the Maenad’s followers once did?
