Rutina Wesley Hangin’ in Boston Rather Romantic

Rutina Wesley, was in Boston over the weekend to participate in Commonwealth Shakespeare Company’s “American Voices’’ reading of Sam Shepard’s “Fool for Love.’’

Wesley, who hung out at the Nine Zero hotel before heading out to the gig told us that her two days in Boston wound up being rather romantic. Wesley read the play with her husband, actorJacob Fishel. She told us that she hasn’t read opposite her spouse since the two were students at Juilliard. Back then, they were often cast together because of their chemistry, she said. “It’s been kind of fun to remember what that beginning was like - when we first fell in love at school.’’

Tara May Have to Wear Hats for Awhile…

In your mind, is Tara dead?
Well I mean half my head is missing. I’m just gonna keep saying that. You know, it’s True Blood. I feel like anything is possible. If anything, it is the golden hour though. If she is able to be saved, it’s like she’s got 20 seconds. It’s not a lot of time. I’m curious to see what they’re going to do with all of it. I hope I’m back. But again half my head is missing [laughs].

Maybe Tara will just wear a lot of hats?
Yeah I mean yeah she can wear a lot of hats. Put some gauze on it. But people are going crazy! [Laughs]

Rutina Wesley Will Be Back For Season 5

TVLINE | When did you first find out Tara was getting shot in the head?
Alan Ball himself pulled me aside early on and told me that this was happening. And I was like, ‘OK, that’s cool.’ I know I’m coming back in some capacity, I just don’t know how I’m coming back. It’s scary as an actor to be in that position. Whatever they do, I think it’s the Golden Hour for Tara. But I don’t know how they’re going to revive me or if I’m dead. And that’s the big question: Can she be saved?

TVLINE | Has your contract option for Season 5 been officially picked up?
Yes. I know I’m coming back. I just don’t know in what capacity.

True Blood Season 4 The Final Act

Tara Thornton
Played by: Rutina Wesley
Episode 1 – Episode 48

Unwritten Future
“I don’t know what they have in store for next season. I haven’t seen any scripts, so I have no idea what’s going to happen. I’m either at death’s door, or I’m gone. That’s scary for an actor, but if my time has come, then my time has come – and what a way to go, saving your best friend’s life. It’s pretty cool that everyone’s going to be going, “Is she, or isn’t she?” I’m excited and terrified all at the same time. I could be a ghost, I could die – it’s in the hands of our wonderful writers and the creative mind of Alan Ball.”
